A dedicated first-year Food Science with Business student at the University of Reading with exceptional organisational, communication and interpersonal skills developed through education, volunteering and part-time roles. Eager to learn and, enjoy overcoming challenges for the benefit of others and myself. The primary area of academic interest is Food Science and Business; to provide nutritional and affordable meals to as many individuals as possible and help stifle world hunger.

1. Campus Jobs Help Desk Administration Assistant 2023 – Present 

• Gaining customer service experience, time management and IT skills by passionately working as the help desk admin assistant for the intra-university organisation of all part-time/ temporary jobs on and off campus
• Completing right-to-work checks including handling documentation and data entry onto the Campus Jobs systems
• Responding to student emails, helping and handling queries regarding part-time roles, timesheets and payments, and creating content for social media

• Developing interpersonal and marketing skills by championing and promoting the life tools program at stalls to students and encouraging student engagement by breaking the ice at talks and webinars.

• Acquiring public speaking and creative skills by contributing to group discussions and providing ideas to develop learning, inclusivity and student experience by being a part of the university-wide student panel

BSc Food Science with Business, University of Reading, UK 2022 - Present

Core Year 1 Food Science modules :

Farm to Fork, Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Food Processing and Engineering, Chemistry

• Completed Food Safety level 2 module
• Gained hands-on experience at the food processing pilot plant and showed passion and attention to detail while proactively monitoring quality and upholding hygiene.
• Worked enthusiastically with a team of 5 by following instructions from the tutor to process ice cream, bake industrial bread and produce freeze-dried coffee at the pilot plant.
• Composed an essay after conducting extensive research on food security linked to climate change
• Acquired data analysis skills by working on XLSTAT with numerous values related to emulsions, creaming index, surface tension and density of foods.
