Harun Kaya

Graduated at the top of the Computer Engineering Department. Served as the Faculty of Engineering Student Representative. Computer engineer developing projects focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and NLP.

I combine model development processes with FastAPI, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and REST API-based backend systems to build end-to-end solutions. I focus on developing scalable service architectures using Docker, AWS, and asynchronous messaging approaches.

Computer Engineering Intern at Turkish Ground Services (TGS) (2025-07 – 2025-08)

• Contributed to SAP ABAP development, enterprise data modeling, and business logic design processes using OOP principles.
• Developed a predictive model in Python covering data preprocessing, feature extraction, and model evaluation steps.
• Implemented a REST API-based backend integration so model outputs could be used in enterprise applications.

Computer Engineering Intern at Ziraat Teknoloji (2024-06 – 2024-08)

• Developed backend components for enterprise applications using C#,.NET, and JavaScript.
• Worked on database tables, SQL queries, and data access layers.

Student Representative at Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) (2023-08 – 2026-06)

• Contributed as a student stakeholder to quality, accreditation, and process improvement activities at faculty and department levels.

Researcher at TÜBİTAK 1002-B: Turkish Target-Based Sentiment Analysis (2025-03 – 2025-09)

• Contributed to the data and modeling pipeline representing target-context relationships for Turkish target-based sentiment analysis; tokenized texts, converted them into model inputs, and created experimental datasets.
• Participated in fine-tuning and experimentation with Transformer-based NLP models; compared model configurations using precision, recall, macro F1-score, and confusion matrices, and performed error analysis.

Project Lead at TÜBİTAK 2209-A: Emergency Call System for Electric Vehicles (2023-06 – 2023-11)

• As project lead, coordinated the development of a system designed to initiate emergency calls after an accident; actively contributed to requirements analysis, task allocation, and prototyping.
• Helped design the system flow for transmitting accident information with location data to emergency units and participated in basic prototype testing.

• As a club executive, participated in planning technical events, coordinating teams, and managing operational processes.
