Hello! My name is Addie Meyer, I recently graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Development. I have been seeking out jobs that involve working with children since I was in high school. I am passionate about working with children, I have come to see and understand just how important the first years of children's lives are and I find an abundance of joy in being able to support children during these times. I want to make a difference in children's lives and leave lasting positive impacts. I possess a very calm demeanor and can maintain my patience in high-stress and even frustrating situations. I also can think creatively and devise effective solutions to adversity faced in childcare environments.
Up until my move back to Boise, I worked as a part-time nanny for three young children. I also worked at Therapeutic Learning Center during my last two semesters, where I worked with students struggling with learning disorders on their core learning skills and improving other cognitive processes. I collaborated with clinicians to create the best possible learning plans for students and supported students with difficult tasks, ensuring their well-being and safety. I previously worked as a camp counselor at Del Mar surf school for children. I monitored children giving surf lessons and organizing beach games working on communication and teamwork skills. I also established a safe and fun environment in collaboration with other counselors and created ways to keep children engaged.
I recently graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Psychology and specialization in Child and family development.
