I am a Mexican-American teaching artist shaped by professional training in Mexico and the United States. I approach theatre education as a space of responsibility toward the other, where listening, presence, and respect guide the work.
Teaching matters to me because I have experienced how transformative disciplined artistic spaces can be, and I want my students to discover their own voice with honesty and courage, regardless of where they are heading or where they come from.
I am a Mexican American actor and teaching artist with professional training in theatre and film in both Mexico and the United States. I have experience teaching theatre to elementary, middle, and high school students, where I design creative classes focused on confidence, collaboration, and performance skills.
I have worked as a Drama Teacher at the American School of Tampico and as a Theatre Instructor for youth with DOSCE La Compañía de Teatro Artes y Oficios, assisting in workshops and productions for young performers. I have also facilitated acting workshops that help students develop professional portfolios and understand the film and theatre industry.
Alongside teaching, I have experience working as an assistant director in theatre productions, supporting actors through text analysis, rehearsal processes, and performance preparation. My work focuses on creating collaborative environments where students feel encouraged to explore, grow, and develop both artistic and personal confidence.
My education combines academic study with professional artistic training. I hold a B.S. in Mass and Digital Communications from Universidad del Noreste in Mexico, which gave me a strong foundation in storytelling, media, and communication.
Alongside my degree, I have trained extensively in acting and performance through professional workshops and studios in both Mexico and the United States. My training includes acting for film, scene creation and direction, Meisner-based technique for TV and film, movement training, Laban studies, and character analysis.
This combination of academic study and practical artistic training has shaped my approach to teaching, allowing me to guide students in both creative expression and professional discipline.
