Hi there! My name is Ana, I am a 22-year-old college student. I am the oldest of 5 siblings with personal experience in many age groups with children. For the past 2 years, I have transitioned into professionally pursuing and expanding my childcare career.
I have worked with children on the spectrum as well as TK students! My biggest experience so far has been as an after-school teacher with a nonprofit organization. This job opportunity allowed me to work with children ages kinder through 5th grade.
I have managed a classroom of 20 students grades 2nd and 3rd! My main priority, as well as a goal right now in life, is to expand my knowledge and growth and then use it as a tool to help the little ones. The skills I have currently picked up are from doing STEAM, Literature, CAT, Mindfulness, and art with my students.
They have also taught me so much in my experience of being a leader to them. Working with children has been a blessing to me and my growth as a young woman.
I have worked as an actress, school teacher for an afterschool program and have transitioned into working with lower age groups with Montessori like teaching. I am currently working side-by-side a lead Montessori teacher, and training to have my license in Montessori teaching as well. I work with ages three through eight, and teach both age group Spanish once a week.
I have taken my general courses in community college and have taken early childhood classes as well as training provided by school districts and current employer
