I am the social worker for Odessa College. I was brought on to create the social services program to remove barriers for students attending college to keep them in school. I also help them navigate the college process.
I was a public school teacher for four years before receiving my masters in social work. After my masters, I stayed in education, but went into higher ed as the first social worker at Odessa College.
