Anika Prasad

Dedicated first-year Media Studies student deeply interested in media production and post-production, seeking an opportunity to better my skills and give back to my community by obtaining an internship at a community center, local television station, advertising agency, or media production company; offering creativity, film and editing skills to help generate innovative ideas and gain career experience.

I began interning at my local TV station in high school wherein I created promotional animations and tutorials for different animation and editing software. I then began working as a wedding videographer where I filmed, edited, managed social media accounts and a website for a small company in Rhode Island. I also interned that summer at a different local TV station north of Boston where I aided in the creation of small business promotions (filming and editing).

I am currently enrolled in the Media Studies program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. I am taking many creative writing and film studies/production courses as well a business course. I am also in a social media and networking class.
