I have five-plus years of LGBTQ+ community organizing experience. During my time at Health Education Learning Project, I gained in-depth knowledge of the HIV epidemic. When I became the Mpowerment Coordinator over MPACT DFW, we were in the middle of a pandemic, and I had to learn how to adapt a social group into a fully virtual environment.
The Mpowerment program aims to address HIV health disparities in BIPOC 18-29 individuals. I have extensive knowledge of programming and event planning to address health disparities and health inequities.
As an Advertising major with a minor in psychology, I have found it highly rewarding to be able to express my creativity while helping my community in the process. In my education, I've honed marketing, community engagement, graphic design, filming, and editing, which I can bring to future endeavors.
