Hello, I‘m April Flynn. I’ve been in the medical field for about 8 years as a medication tech, care partner, and have even done manager positions in the same field. I am currently a pre-nursing student looking for a Patient Care Tech Position, being in the field will help my knowledge when it comes time for the nursing program this next fall.
Medication tech- 8 years- administering medications, monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar, administering insulin. Helping patients with ADL’s.
Coordinator- Hiring staff for Assisted living & memory care. Training the new staff on medication carts. Maintaining a schedule for staff.
Life Enrichment Coordinator- Creating activities to keep elderly engaged throughout the day. Planning outings, family nights.
Currently in college finishing my prerequisites for the nursing program.
