Audrey Weisburd

🎥📚 I’m a writer, editor, and creative media professional passionate about storytelling in all its forms, from essays and short stories to films, magazines, and live events. I graduated with honors from Syracuse University, where I studied Television, Radio & Film and minored in Creative Writing.

I’ve worked across editorial, media, and nonprofit spaces, contributing to publications like Flaunt and BOMB, and Moody Magazine, as well as production companies like Starburns Industries. I’ve also founded creative initiatives like The Salon Syracuse, a pop-up literary gathering, and Matchbox Films, the university’s first arthouse production collective.

At the heart of my work is a belief that storytelling can transform the way we see ourselves and each other. Whether I’m fact-checking a longform piece, interviewing an artist, or directing a short film, I care deeply about bringing nuance, curiosity, and care to every project.

Currently based in New York City and open to opportunities in editorial, production, publishing, or anywhere words and visuals meet meaning.

I bring over three years of experience across editorial, media, and nonprofit work. I've contributed to cultural publications like Flaunt, BOMB, and Moody, where I’ve fact-checked, proofread, written features, and supported digital production. I’ve also had worked in a range of media and production internships, worked in talent management, and produced creative projects ranging from literary salons to short films.

My background blends sharp editorial skills with creative storytelling and a deep passion for art, media, and community-building.

I graduated with honors from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where I majored in Television, Radio & Film and minored in Creative Writing. As part of the Renée Crown Honors Program and a Newhouse Leadership Scholar, I completed an interdisciplinary creative thesis exploring storytelling across literature, film, and art. I also recently studied writing and publishing through an advanced summer intensive at Oxford University.
