Employed at ExxonMobil chemical plant in downtown Beaumont, TX, Analyzer group working on Gas chromatograms, as well as standalone vapor detectors. My job duties include may complex systems involving Gas chromatograph sample systems, including instrumentation associated with the sample system to control flows, pressures, as well as temperatures. Many analyzers include associated PLC'S and DCS systems for control and reporting.
Deal heavily with changing out standard (reference) gas cylinders for gas chromatogram calibration. Report daily and run verification and validation on different analyzer which are analyzing Ethylene, Paraxylene, and Mobil 1 product which come from strategically places sample probes throughout the units. Often work with Bentley Nevada proximity sensors to monitor speed, thrust and expansion on turbines. Work with HART daily for troubleshooting and set up of new instruments.

Worked as A I/E technician at the Arkema Chemical plant in Beaumont, TX. I am involved in many different types of instrumentation and electrical work. The daily scope of work varies with the plant and planned preventive maintenance.
MOC Documentation Technician at Darbonne Services (ExxonMobil) (2011-08 – 2014-06)
Involved in the MOC group which handled MOC documentation for the LDAR Company. My job dealt heavily with the understanding of process equipment, as well as the fundamentals of process control. I often used Piping and Instrumentation diagrams to map out Process streams, control loop functions, well as identifying components associated with Corresponding control loops, such as D/P transmitters, displacers, Guided wave radar, and control valves.
When a change had been made to a process unit I would locate the new components that had been added. Once identified I then would verify the product stream to ensure it fell under LDAR regulations. Once I verified the new components to be an LDAR applicable component, I then would add them to the LDAR database for the follow up monitoring to be performed quarterly.
This job helped me learn the layout and the equipment locations of the units at the Chemical plant, as well as the Refinery. I was also involved with the LPSA system and very aware with safety expectations at the Exxon Complex.
