I played a vital role in supporting a dynamic and engaging learning environment within our virtual school. I leverage my expertise in educational technology and curriculum development to create innovative learning experiences for our online scholars. I embraced my collaborative spirit and a passion for using technology to enhance student achievement.
I collaborate with teachers and curriculum developers to design, develop, and implement technology-integrated curriculum for online courses. I manage and maintain the virtual learning environment using LMS, ensuring smooth operation and accessibility for all users.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to students, teachers, and staff regarding the Virtual platform and other educational technologies. I researched and recommend new educational technologies that align with curriculum goals and promote student engagement.
I would develop and deliver professional development workshops on effective use of technology for online teaching and learning. I would create and curate online learning materials, including multimedia resources and interactive activities. I would keep the staff up-to-date on emerging trends in educational technology and best practices for online learning.
I also assisted with student enrollment and orientation to the virtual learning environment. My role was one that was adaptable and shifted to meet the needs of a changing environment that evolves each year as we learn better practices and embrace changing technologies.
I spend 18 years in education. The first 15 in the classroom. The last 3 years have been spent in an administrative role as an Educational technologist. I managed many projects and implemented new solutions to improve processes and track data to enhance efficiencies. I also oversaw a company of 22 employees for a driving school that I have owned for the last 18 years.
My Master degree was in Educational Administration. Although the title says administration and implies leadership. True leadership is a process that is developed by learning from others and having a humbleness about yourself to learn and value people and the efforts they put into their job. My quest for learning will not stop there. I plan on continuing education to equip my tool belt of knowledge to make me more effective in all aspects of life.
