I have been in the logistics industry for 6+ years and have managed countless customer portfolios. I have meticulous attention to detail and view a customer's logistical needs like a puzzle. I love solving these puzzles.
I have worked on the carrier side of logistics, however I feel that my skills are perfect for optimizing supply chains on the shipper/ manufacturing end of things as well. Understanding how carriers and brokers operate gives me an insight into the industry, and how to apply pressure in certain areas to get the best outcomes out of a shipper's transportation needs. Although I have not officially managed inventory, I have managed a vast book of business, organized large project freight, created customer cost-analysis spreadsheets, and created customer on-time-delivery score cards.
I believe my extensive knowledge in excel, as well as my knowledge attained while studying software development will prove useful when sorting and tracking inventory. I look forward to working with you and starting my new career!
I am currently working at Amino Transport as an Account Manager. My current responsibilities are the full maintenance of my customer's transportation needs. My logistics experience includes; quoting single shipments as well as large customers bids, coordinating shipments with shipper and receiver, scheduling and routing these shipments, and ensuring the driver's have the necessary skills and equipment.
Also, monitoring shipments throughout the transit and providing updates. Furthermore, I have created cost-analysis reports and on-time-delivery score cards for my customers to show them market cost fluctuations and update them on our current performance. Lastly, I have been responsible for obtaining all documentation necessary for billing, and often provided customers with invoices and invoice history reports.
Currently, I oversee a book of business that generates $35,000 monthly gross profit. My main objective is to grow current accounts, which involves frequent calls/ emails to solicit new business, as well as ensure our current business runs perfectly to encourage recurrent transactions.
I have a bachelors degree in Philosophy and am currently working towards obtaining a certificate in Software Development. My Philosophy degree has provided me with impeccable writing skills and articulate speech. I pride myself in representing my company to our clients with clear, efficient communication.
Development classes have given me a better understanding of computer language and computer software, and it has assisted me in navigating the countless Transportation Management Systems that I must operate to connect with my current customer base. I also have limited experience working in SAP.
