I have spent over 8 years focused on employment law litigation as well as civil rights. This included various actions against government entities for Title VII violations as well as Universities for Title IX violations. It also includes representation of individuals in pre-termination hearings with government agencies including in education law. I have experience with employee issues including but not limited to, FMLA, OSHA and UOSH compliance, the Equal Pay Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, HIPPA compliance, employee handbooks, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, workers compensation, government Loudermill hearings and federal government hearings.
I have litigated cases under the Americans with disabilities act, Title VII related to claims based on religion, race, gender, sexual harassment and claims under the equal pay act, claims under Title IX as well as civil rights claims against government entities related to civil rights actions. I have litigated workers compensation cases. I have assisted in government Loudermill hearings. I have litigated employment contract cases. I have litigated cases under the Utah Payment of Wages Act. I have litigated cases under the fair labor standards act. I have litigated cases under UOSH and OSHA and whistleblower claims. I have revised employee handbooks and handled severance and non-compete agreements.
I have had a Juris Doctorate since 2014.
