I develop long term experience over many years in the Coatings and Chemical Industries. I worked extensively in the mining and offshore oil and gas environment. I am currently working at Air Products SA as an Area Sales Manager - VDB.

My responsibility is New Business development, profit growth and relationship building for all existing and new business on the Vaal, North West, Free-state and Northern Cape areas. My role as area manager includes the management of the depot in Vanderbijlpark and Sishen (NC), new business development which includes cold calling. I have my own production facility and are also responsible for distribution.

I do site safety assessments, drawing of new gas installations and the technical back up after sales.

Industrial Gas – Area Sales Manager - Air Products South Africa - Vaal and North West Area

• Over all management at the cylinder facility at Vanderbijlpark and Sishen(NC).
• This function includes but not limited to Production, Distribution marketing and selling of industrial, CryoEase (Liquid Gas) and Specialty gasses.

• Review specifications and localize products for the South African Market and environmental conditions.

Specialised Coatings – Sales Consultant - Plascon enters in a JV with International paints

• Research and develop new products for the Protective Coatings market.
• Investigate customer coatings related complaints.
• Do forensic investigations and all coatings tests related to paint failures.
• Business development in the chemical and mining markets.
• Interpret and draw up new specifications for the corrosion protection of steel, cement, galvanized steel and stainless steel.
• Relationship building with all fabricators, estimators, material handlers, asset owners and Consulting engineers.
• Responsible for the export of specialized coatings to Nigeria.
• Training of team members on colour matching utilizing the Largo tinting database and tinting systems.
• Install and train new employees on Chromascan tinting machines.

Production Controller / Colour Chemist - Plascon Paints

• Attend production planning meetings and participate in the planning of the monthly production requirement.
• Issue of batch Cards and coordinate the manufacturing process.
• Assist in the tinting of batches to the specified colour spec.
• Train and develop new colour matchers in eye ball tinting and also in utilizing the spectrophotometer.
• Oversee the total manufacturing process until all QC tests are passed.
