Caroline King

I am a full-time senior at Shortridge High School and one of Indianpolis' east side natives. I will be attending Indiana University--Bloomington in the fall for environmental science, and, in the meantime, I am working on building my customer service experience. I am a fast learner with a great attention to detail.

I am personable and have no trouble when it comes to interacting with people I do not know. Additionally, I am very comfortable working with others and being apart of a team, while still being able to work on my own.

Over the last four years, I have spent time in various customer service positions, including both retail and restaurant positions. From 2019 to 2021, I worked as a volunteer sales associate at Global Gifts--Mass Ave, and, in May 2021, I moved to a paid sales associate position at the store. In March 2022, I left Global Gifts and started working downtown at Nada as a hostess for the following eleven months.

In March 2022, I left Global Gifts and started working downtown at Nada as a hostess. Here, I realized how much I enjoy the fast pace of working in a restaurant.

Although my time at Nada ended in January of this year, I learned a great deal about interacting with guests, as well as all the effort and collaboration that goes into keeping a restaurant running.

I am currently a senior at Shortridge High School working to complete both my Core 40 Academic Honors Diploma as well as my International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. My cumulative weighted GPA is a 4.48 on a 5.0 scale, and I plan to pursue a degree in environmental science at Indiana University--Bloomington in the fall of this year.
