My name is Cecilia Kibada, I am originally from Tanzania. I am a human rights lawyer with over five years of experience in promoting human rights in both local and international level.
I worked with Kibada Widows' Voice in Arusha, Tanzania an organization which provides legal aid for widows. Through this organization I created awarenesses to the public about women's human rights through media, workshops and publications. I have also worked with United Nations International Residual Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals as well as African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights as a legal intern.
Through this International organizations, I drafted legal documents and conducted legal research.
I am currently doing LL.M in International Human Rights Law at the University of Notre Dame.
