Experience
Sales Strategy and Execution – Between 2012 and 2015, while at General Cigar, developed the business case and go-to-market strategies to introduce the company’s products into the c-store, grocery, drug, military, and mass channels. This required new packaging, trade marketing programs, logistics, and other business management tools. In less than 3 years distribution had grown to over 42,000 new points of distribution.
New Business Development – In 2022, developed a customized Krispy Krunchy food service program which focused on 5 high-velocity potential items curated for convenience store chains that operated smaller footprint stores. This new program gained over 1,100 new retail placements in less than 8 months. Incremental sales increased by 11%.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – In 2023, designed and facilitated ideation sessions to foster stronger vertical alignment between BAKEMARK’s functional departments (R&D, Operations, Sales, etc.) and the related functions of its customers. This deeper level of engagement resulted in increased sales and revenue of 9% among the company’s top 4 largest customers. In addition, time to market for new items was reduced by 25 days (90 days to 65 days).
Distribution Networks – While at Gatorade, Designed, coordinated, and led the rollout of a national wholesaler merchandising incentive program to address rural distribution voids. The key tactic was driving increased drop sizes which made delivery more cost effective. This program delivered incremental case sales of +13.4%, increased revenue by 8.7%. and market share by 2.8 points.
Culture Building – Conceptualized and designed a Reward and Recognition program intended to boost employee morale and retention while at Philip Morris. After implementation, year-over-year employee retention improved by 13.7%. Employee surveys indicated job satisfaction increased by 34%. This program was subsequently rolled out to the whole company.
