I am a molecular biologist with a decade of lab and computational research experience investigating mechanisms of microbial evolution and persistence. I have an extensive research history in experimental evolution, next-generation sequence and data processing, and genomic engineering and molecular manipulation.
I have fluency in Python, R, and Bash scripting as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by my publication and presentation history. I currently lead the bioinformatics team at SeqCenter where I develop and implement analysis pipelines on bacterial, fungal, and eukaryotic datasets based on customer needs and provide analysis solutions that reflect the latest trends in our field.
My bench-side experience in my graduate and undergraduate research career coupled with my industry experience in library preparation, data analysis, and large dataset distribution have provided an end-to-end perspective of the genomics field. I am looking to leverage these genomics skills to deliver clinically actionable research on the intersection of microbiology, immunology, and somatic mutation prevalence.
