Over the last twenty years, customer service has been sole drive when it comes to employment choices. i started out with supermarket stock work that was only about 40 percent stocking; the rest was answering questions, finding products and ordering the products I couldn't find and all to see the faces of customers who felt satisfied. from there, I worked in food service and got my associates degree in Hospitality Services. when a customer needed help, I was always the go to for answering questions which lead to my most recent position as a manger in an Indian Food Restaurant. Since covid, the job came to an end and now I'm ready to take my service abilities to a level I haven't experienced. I know I will be an asset in this new chapter of my life.
I have always found myself drawn to customer service based jobs. most of those jobs were entry level take allowed me to learn many lessons about interacting with people. I started out stocking selves which I enjoyed far more then many of my co-workers. I then went into food service in which I was a cook, and casher, and maintenance worker and every other position you can imagine. My greatest challenge managing a restaurant. I was allowed as much time as I needed to speak with and find ways to help every person who walked throw my door. The position also allowed me to train new employees in the art of customer service. Many of those I have taught has moved on to other positions as managers and two that have moved on to starting their own business.
My education, I feel, is an ongoing thing. I say that as I feel that I take away something from every interaction with customers and co-workers. To speak of education as formal learning, that education is ongoing for me. I have completed an Associates in Hospitality Services and Management. I am not currently enrolled in a program but since getting my Associates, I've been working towards a Bachelors in Hospitality Management which was put on hold due to covid and is on hold once again due to an oversight in which I have one class to complete for graduation.
