I am currently an Instructional Coach with the City School District of Albany with 25 years of experience in the field of education. I work to raise teacher capacity in delivering equitable instruction in English Language Arts. I hold a Master's Degree from the Sage Colleges in Elementary Education and a Certificate of Advanced Study from The College of Saint Rose in Educational Administration and Leadership.
I have been afforded the opportunity to attend the UnBound Ed Standards Institute on several occasions where I participated in professional learning on equity and diverse instruction. I am fluent in French and am a performing musician on the side. I am interested in an administrative position at a public elementary or middle school.
For the past 25 years I have taught English Language Arts, Social Studies and Reading in elementary and middle schools, both urban and suburban. I currently coach teachers in grades 3-5 in ELA and support classrooms as a Reading Interventionist. I serve on the MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) Team, the BELT (Building Equity and Leadership Team), BLERT (Building-Level Emergency Response Team) and disseminate crucial districtwide initiatives to the teachers in my school.
I work with other district coaches to develop rigorous standards-aligned curriculum, analyze data, and support teachers in implementing instructional strategies to achieve positive student outcomes.
I graduated from the College of Saint Rose in May 2022 with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership and Administration. My Master's Degree is in Elementary Education from The Sage Colleges and I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Romance Language and Literature from the University of Notre Dame.
I completed coursework in Instructional Coaching Through Change: Supporting Teachers in Action from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Microcredential in the Science of Reading from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2024.
