I am an experienced educator with a strong foundation in instructional coaching, adult learning, and professional development. Through specialized training with the New Teacher Center and Bob Pyke’s Train the Trainer Boot Camp, I’ve developed a deep understanding of adult learning principles and how to apply them effectively in coaching and training environments. I have also completed extensive professional learning in evidence-based instructional best practices and have ample experience designing and delivering high-impact training for educators across grade levels and content areas.
With dual certifications in K–5 and 9–12 mathematics, I bring over a decade of classroom experience and several years of leadership in coaching, PLC facilitation, and MTSS support. I’m passionate about empowering educators through collaborative learning experiences that respect their expertise, build capacity, and drive student success.
I am a dedicated Professional Learning and Instructional Specialist completing my 17th year in education. My experience spans classroom teaching, instructional coaching, and educational consulting across K–12 settings.
Currently, I serve as the P–12 Teaching and Learning Coach at Williamsburg Independent Schools, where I lead PLCs, provide coaching and professional learning for new teachers, support MTSS implementation, manage data tracking systems, contribute to districtwide strategic planning as a member of the leadership team, and co-author grant proposals.
Previously, I worked as a Deeper Learning Education Consultant with the Southeast South-Central Education Cooperative. In that role, I designed and facilitated professional learning for K–12 educators across multiple platforms (in-person, virtual, and asynchronous), supported instructional coaching efforts, mentored early-career teachers, and collaborated with regional districts on student engagement and formative assessment practices.
I began my career as a Secondary Math Educator at Whitley County High School, where I spent 14 years teaching a wide range of courses, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Senior Math. In addition to delivering standards-aligned instruction, I participated in data-informed PLCs and mentored new and aspiring teachers. This classroom experience laid a strong foundation for my coaching work, allowing me to connect meaningfully with educators through a shared understanding of both content and instructional demands.
I hold certifications in both K–5 and 9–12 mathematics and have completed extensive professional training in instructional best practices, adult learning principles, and educational leadership. I’m passionate about helping educators grow their practice to improve outcomes for all learners.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics as well as two Master’s degrees from the University of the Cumberlands—one in Teaching Mathematics and another in Elementary Education. This diverse educational background has equipped me to support learning across grade levels and content areas. My continued professional growth has been shaped not only by formal education, but also by extensive training in curriculum development, instructional coaching, adult learning, and effective mathematics instruction.
