I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years. In that time, I have been a manager for about 6 years. I've learned how to:

• Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Direct the employee assessment process
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
• Experience in planning and budgeting
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

• BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus

When I started as a Store Manager at Scooter's Coffee. The store I was in charge of was in bad shape. I cleaned, re-organized, and re-trained the employees. When I got it where it should be I was getting emails from the franchise owner about my sales increasing. The store didn't get many complaints like it did when I started.
