As a recently registered Dietitian, most of my experience comes from food service management in long term care facilities. I'm looking to orient my career in a more clinical direction.
I have spent the majority of my working career (10 years) in the food service industry. In my recent role as a Dietary Services Manager at Jackson Manor, I successfully led a team in meal preparation, adherance to CMS food regulations, and increasing resident meal satisfaction. My dedication to optimizing dietary services through tailored nutrition plans in collaboration with the nursing and therapy deparments has been a driving force in my career.
Other experiences include dietary management of Fountainbleau Lodge (LTC facility), management of a local meal prep company, dietary assistance in a regional hospital, and other roles that enhanced my food service skills (cooking, cash handling, serving, preparing recipes, cleaning, etc).
I received my BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University in 2023, and then moved on to earn my MS in Applied Nutrition (2024) through a graduate program that combined supervised fieldwork experience with advanced nutrition coursework.
