Physician Assistant – Urgent Care at Patient First (2025-08 – Present)
Fast-paced urgent care setting with high patient volume. 3.5-5 patients per hour with access to labs and x-ray. Read all my own x-rays with radiology overread within 24 hours. Perform wound closure, wound care, I&D, simple closed fracture/joint reductions. Also function as primary care provider, staying up to date on management of chronic conditions and appropriate screenings.
Physician Assistant – Emergency Room at El Camino Health Hospital (2023-07 – 2025-06)
Involved in all aspects of patient care including detailed history, physical examination, development and implementation of treatment plans, prescription of medications, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, performing necessary procedures, and consultation with specialists and other providers. Worked primarily night shifts with myself and two physicians covering the ED which provided opportunities for acuity and procedural exposure.
