My name is Emmi Nunes. I am a sophmore now attending the University of Hartford. Something I’m passionate about right now is that i’m currently really invested on a project with NASA right now and I am really excited for the opportunities it will bring.
We are researching the solar eclipse and traveling to two different places in October and April. I have also been elected as the vice president for the aerospace engineering club for two consecutive years and I am also a member of AIAA. Being a female in STEM, it’s very high competition and i want to able to do and learn everything I can.
I’m good at coding, 3D modeling, 3D printing, building things / solving to make things work. I’m a very hard worker and I catch on quickly.
Currently, I have not worked for any programs or businesses that offer aerospace, or engineering in general, But I am currently working on a non-paid project with NASA through my college, University of Hartford. We are researching the solar eclipse and making our own payload that we are going to send up around 80,000-100,000ft up into the atmosphere.
I went to a private middle/school for 7 years and then went straight to University of Hartford in which I am currently a sophomore. I study Aerospace Engineering as its always been so interesting to me. I like designing and learning the background to how things are being made.
