I am a local, community-focused reporter with over 150 stories written about government, public safety, and policy debates in Minnesota. I am experienced in beat reporting, enterprise features, and breaking news for weekly publications, including Press Publications in White Bear Lake and the Republican Eagle in Red Wing. Through my writing, I deliver timely, engaging content that resonates with readers, backed by demonstrated research and fact-checking skills to ensure accuracy and reliability.

I started as a freelance writer at Press Publications in 2023, then transitioned to a full-time reporter role in early 2024. Throughout my tenure, I wrote more than 150 articles for the White Bear and Vadnais Heights Press and the Lowdown, the latter serving Stillwater, Forest Lake, Scandia, and Wyoming. My reporting has included coverage of city council meetings, feature profiles, and community stories.

In 2025, I placed third in the Minnesota Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest in the Human Interest Story: News Feature category (non-multi-day, over 7,000 circulation) for my article, “Searching for Nathan Edberg: 25 years later.” This honor reflects my dedication to producing strong reporting and storytelling that resonates with local readers.

I graduated from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing.
