My restaurant was hit hard by covid. I opened about five months before the shutdown, and by Dec 2020, seeing no end in sight, I had to close. Tagged out at home plate :)
I love working in the kitchen, but am also able to work the front.
I work hard, and don't ever call out - I am very reliable.
I've been working hard my whole life. Started washing dishes at 10, worked in kitchens for most of my teens.
Found out that I had organizational skills, and used my resourcefulness in the corporate world - negotiator and service delivery manager for AT&T. After a layoff, I opened a liquor store, and a small cafe. After 12 years I felt that I needed something more.Opened a restaurant in Cranston. Timing could have been better, covid forced me to close.
I'm done mourning, time to get back to work.
