I am an experienced educator and program coordinator with a special interest in population and family health. I have meaningful experience in program planning and implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. I have a passion for expanding access to comprehensive health services for all people regardless of gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, economic status, or immigration status.
My first full-time position as a Health Education Fellow at Davidson College ignited my passion for program planning and implementation. I had the opportunity to serve as the Program Director for Green Dot, a sexual violence prevention program. My responsibilities included recruitment and training of new facilitators, implementation of 8-hour workshops, budget management, and monitoring and evaluation of the program.
I also had the opportunity to assist in the development of an original sexual health and misconduct curriculum for all Davidson students, giving me invaluable experience in Universal Design Principals, theoretical framing, and content development. Additionally, I am a skilled educator and presenter with experience in classroom, workshop, and professional settings.
I am currently finishing my Masters of Public Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. My focus is Population and Family Health, with a specific concentration in Sexuality, Sexual and Reproductive Health. Prior to joining the Mailman community, I received an Advanced Certificate in Gender and Sexuality in Psychology and Education from the Counseling and Clinical Psychology Department at Columbia University Teachers College.
