Ive been in the entertainment industry for almost 6 years now. In high school I did kids birthday parties and that introduced me to my love for creating an environment families can have fun in. I really wanted to go to school in Socal and work at Disneyland to continue my love for entertaining families.
I worked at Disneyland for almost two years. Post graduation I pivoted to the events side of the entertainment industry. I worked at a Tik Tok Center hosting their open house events for creators to come in and learn about how to make shoppable content.
I now am the events manager at the Anaheim Hotel. I love coordinating with others to make sure everything runs smoothly on event day. I manage the servers as well as make sure everything is going according to the banquet event order plan.
I enjoy this job a lot but was hoping to move into the more event production side rather than catering side. I am a production assistant at an event production company called ZOē Productions and that is what sparked my interest in the live event relm.
I graduated from Chapman University with a BA in Strategic and Corporate Communications and a minor in Leadership. Studying SCC allowed me to expand my knowledge in not only communications but also marketing, PR, and even how to create a campaign and host events based off of the campaign. My senior year for my capstone, we partnered with a local dog rescue and hosted on campus fundraisers for them.
I loved doing the events so much, I reached out to the rescue, and am now their event production intern.
