Of all my positions in cake decorating, inventory control, and multiple position shift leading I've several highlighted skills that are shared between all three. I'm an incredibly effective leader with a focus on accuracy and detail and an excellent communicator, with strong problem solving skills. I'm capable of working through unexpected surges of customers or finding things with zero paper trail without complaint.
I'm able to operate an order picker, scissor lift, and an electric pallet jack. This comes with being able to lift up to around 70lbs without issue, and the ability to walk around and stand for anywhere from 8-12 hours per day. My customer service experiences are very diverse and include all possible demographics.
This includes register operation, taking detailed orders in person or over the phone, running food, bussing tables, wait staff service to dining tables, answering for management when absent, cleaning public and private establishment spaces, answering to any manner of customer problems, and providing immediate solutions with face to face accountability. I'm well versed in handling any age group and any demeanor.
Inventory Control at McClane (2026-01 – Present)
In my position as an inventory control personnel, I'm expected to be responsible for locating, keeping track of, and monitoring all items held in the distribution center. My daily expectations consist of investigative reports on missing inventory, maintaining expiration tracking, solving forklift drivers replenishment or receiving put-away issues, cycle counting the warehouse, and providing accurate answers to our buying, DC management, and stocking teams daily inquiries. Cycle counting involves counting each pallet's quantity, ensuring quantities are correct, checking the sticker plate numbers accuracy, and making sure the pallet is correctly located in its slot.
To get our cycle counts done efficiently and as accurately as possible (especially with multi-deep locations) I am proficient in scissor lift and order picker operation. When responsible for missing inventory, I am capable of locating it in the facility and returning high dollar values to our stock, which also tends to require safe and efficient operation of these vehicles. Within my time at McClane I've come to have a highly detailed, encyclopedic knowledge of the warehouse's layout, items stocked, locations for items, and inventory tracking system operations.
As inventory, I'm required to be an effective communicator with all divisions of the warehouse. Maintaining constant communication with buyers, management, and all other branches is necessary for locating lost inventory and investigating any possible technical issues like slotting or multi-slotting.
Cake Decorator at Sam's Club (2025-06 – 2025-12)
I have a portfolio readily available with time-lined experience and duration of decorating per cake. I was a mid-shift cake decorator who also covered for the bakery team. My daily expectations were completing orders for the current and following day alongside cleaning the bakery.
During my time in this position I learned how to receive customer orders over both the phone and in person, handle all manners of customer interaction, correct order errors, prepare adequately for future orders, work quickly in accurate detail, and provide excellent service to customers alongside my team. I maintained strict cleanliness standards at all times, ensuring dishes were washed with diligence, floors were scrubbed, and frosting bags were emptied daily. I was also proficient in prepping, baking, and packaging bakery items.
I provided full bakery operations support with an unfaltering work ethic prioritizing the customer first. I was a very strong supportive asset to my team. During some of the most stressful situations in this position, I remained calm and successfully provided reasonable solutions to all potential customer issues or mishaps.
Even if customers were angry I remained calm and serviced them with respect to both their time and situation. I maintained a workflow of prepping over 20 orders of 30 set cupcakes for the following day along with 2-5 half sheet cakes, which then provided support to the morning team who could focus on extensive wholesale item prep with the extra time. This allowed all of us to produce higher quality wholesale items and custom orders each day.
My mid-shift allowed me to correct orders as well, including minor spelling errors all the way up to a complete re-frosting or reprint of an order. I was the face that customers held responsible for all items produced that day after 12:00pm, I took pride in that responsibility and provided nothing less than effective service.
Shift Lead at Saint Michael Cinema (2022-05 – 2025-05)
I was a shift lead in the cinema's kitchen and in concessions, while also covering for ushering and management as needed. I was expected to supervise up to eight 14-18 year olds in both a kitchen and customer service environment. I had experience with cleaning maintenance across the entire building down to drain plumbing, demanding customers, extreme crowds, and in maintaining younger team mates attitudes.
I learned how to assess and apply individuals skill sets to their best ability, becoming competent in planning the organization of effort across multiple days. I was efficient in covering for all possible positions my team mates couldn't. My main asset was versatility, be it providing support in waiting tables at our bar restaurant, cleaning theaters between rushes, or backing up multiple registers at once.
The most my effort had ever been put to use was an eight thousand customer weekend over Easter/Spring break 2023. I was present for 8 days consecutively, trained in all new management and foot staff. This was at the same time as experiencing one of our worst most unanticipated weekends ever.
I maintained order in spite of low stock on essential items, kept the theater as clean as possible, backed up management, kept new employees trained effectively and accurately, and ensured we received our guests with excellent service.
