I am an IT-generalist with Customer Success, Application/Technical support, SRE/Observability, System Administration and Data Center management as my core competencies - garnered over a 30-year IT career. My background can apply to any industry requiring a problem-solving professional with solid business and technical acumen and the ability to expertly manage projects and people.
As an intuitive thinker I have a bent for strategic thought and leadership. As a hands-on learner, technically inclined and detail-oriented individual, I assimilate information quickly and execute with the end-goal in mind. I place a premium on open, direct communication and thrive in cultures where open collaboration / human interactions are encouraged. I have been a well-regarded remote worker for 10+ years. Yet I am comfortable in office environments alike.
Over the years, I have taken on roles that offer little oversight and require self-direction and initiative to successfully execute. I can (and have) successfully run one-man IT shops, where acting in multi-functional capacities is a must. But I appreciate a team atmosphere, where one can share knowledge, vet ideas/solutions and collaborate on goals/objectives with others to leverage complementary skillsets contributing toward the overall team’s success and ultimately, the end customer’s satisfaction.
I have a solid understanding of IT Operations –System Administration (Unix/Windows), SRE/Observability concepts, Disaster Recovery / HA solutions, DCIM and ITIL governance. My latest engagement focused on end-to-end support of Hybrid/OnPrem edge network applications (running on AWS, VMs, microservices on Docker and/or Kubernetes) for wireless MNOs interested in hybrid mobility solutions.
