I am a graduating senior at Rutgers University with a bachelor in psychology and minor in cognitive neuroscience. I have research experience working in two labs and a learning assistantship for the Psychology Research Methods course. I also have experience as a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Psychology 102 course.
My experience working with clinical populations includes being a residential counselor and a certified nurse assistant. I am certified in mental health first aide and have a passion for promoting wellness in others. My experiences have shaped my strong public speaking, flexibility, and research skills.
I hope to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and would like to gain more research experience in the field. My best qualities are my curiosity, social drive, and leadership.
I have research experience working in the Social and Affective Neuroscience lab directed by Dr.
Delgado and in the Child Study Center directed by Dr.
LoBue. I am also a learning assistant for the Psychology Research Methods course where I guide students as they develop their research design and write their research proposals. Additionally, I am a Teaching Assistant for the Introduction to Psychology 102 course for the second semester.
This semester I teach recitation in a classroom of 50 students where I lecture students on course material and facilitate group discussion and activities. Previously, I worked as a residential counselor where I behaviorally assessed, guided, and supported individuals with psychological disorders, largely working with individuals with schizophrenia, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I also worked as a certified nurse assistant, assisting long-term care individuals with physical and emotional needs.
