Jacob Newman

Dedicated fourth-year college student at UCLA, working towards a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Structural Biology. I worked diligently for over eight years to obtain BSA's highest rank, Eagle Scout, demonstrating the ability to stay motivated and persevere through challenges, both of which are vital for scientific work. For the past year I have worked in Professor Patrick Harran's lab on the synthesis of unnatural amino acids and their incorporation into peptidomitic macrocycles.

I hope to gain experience in a professional laboratory setting to build relationships in industry and pursue a pharmaceutical career.
