Dean's Office Assistant at Ball State University Department of Theatre and Dance, Muncie, IN August 2018 — December 2018 An unpaid, but experience-gathering gig in which I worked in Dr. Michael Mullen O'Hara's office as a practicum assignment. The position held a variety of responsibilities, including sorting files, assisting with grading student assignments, partaking in my own academic side projects for O'Hara, and any other office duties.
Board Operator/Announcer/Producer at Indiana Public Radio, Muncie, IN May 2021 — May 2022 This position entailed working with the Indiana Public Radio (one of NPR’s prominent neighbor stations) producers to provide either tracks or live radio announcements (including weather updates) throughout the week for IPR. Everything from on-air announcing (both pre-recorded and live on-air announcements), producing content, editing tracks, and even gathering/writing PSA and copywriting material was involved with the job while still maintaining my status as a Ball State student.
Gallery Interpreter - Special Exhibits at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN June 2022 — March 2023 This position entailed working with the interpretation department and actors within the museum to talk to guests while guiding them throughout the museum's special exhibits, and facilitating formal/informal programming (which included acting as a character alongside other actors, as well as managing educational activities as an instructor/leader). In addition to this, some other responsibilities included managing ticketing operations (in order to maintain the proper capacity within each program), and reporting to supervisors for programming evaluation (to ensure the highest quality educational experiences for guests).
Game Host/Producer at Game Show Battle Rooms, Indianapolis, IN July 2022 — January 2023 This position entailed hosting game show rounds within either the “Classics” or “Primetime” Showdown Arenas, while being a funny/engaging host (even bartending pre-show). In addition, responsibilities including setting up and striking pre-game and ensuring all tech and sound cues were running with all the equipment in the room (when scheduled as a Technician/Producer).
ELITE® Coalition Fellow/Producer at ELITE® Coalition/Media Group, Indianapolis, IN May 2022 — Present Position entails working to update the company website with recent content and articles throughout my time in the fellowship, as well as hosting/producing for “Elite Beat” videos. In addition, I currently produce and submit ideas for larger projects, including the upcoming documentary shorts "No Need for Hollywood" and "Driven."
Trivia Host/Producer at Challenge Entertainment, Indianapolis, IN May 2023 — Present This position entails setting up and striking audio-visual equipment (including presentation slides on screen displays and speakers/microphones) for trivia games throughout various (large and small) venues in the Indianapolis area. Additional responsibilities involve being a fun, energetic host at games while interacting with guests (including answering questions about game rules) and entering game data/scores into a corporate spreadsheet before handing out individual cash prizes to winners at the end of each night.
