Jairo Urena

Bilingual Latino marketing graduate passionate about promoting brands, products, and services with transferable sales and customer satisfaction skills and experience gained across commercial banking, retail, and non-profit industries. After experimenting with roles as varied as concierge/ professional security, bartender, and bank teller I took the big step of going back to school as a mature student to earn my BBA to pursue my dream career in marketing and reinvent myself for this next phase of working career. I’m proud to actively seek my first entry-level marketing role.

The past shapes us, but it doesn’t define us. It’s who we are and what we do now that counts. I’ve reinvented myself and have dedicated myself to building a new life and I am 100% committed to realizing my dream and will do whatever it takes to achieve my fullest potential.

I am a recent graduate of marketing at Lehman College (CUNY). I am, besides, a professional security guard, bartender, and bank teller. I have plenty of experience in customer service and sales. I marketed the Bronx Community College Transfer Fair 2018 in the Spring 2018 semester.

I enrolled in CUNY in 2015. I began as a student of CUNY Start at Bronx Community College in the Fall 2015 semester. I began my studies of marketing at Bronx Community College in the Spring 2016 semester. I obtained my associate's degree of applied science in 2018. I continued my studies of marketing at Lehman College in the Fall 2019 semester. I obtained my bachelor's degree of business administration in marketing in 2023.
