Janina Miranda

Hi, my name is Janina and I am pursuing my RN-BSN degree in nursing. I currently work as a seasonal swim instructor and lifeguard, tennis front desk receptionist, and in the off-season, I serve at a local restaurant where I have developed strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. I am passionate about creating welcoming environments, whether in healthcare or hospitality and I thrive in team oriented settings.

I have worked in diverse customer-facing roles that have strengthened my multitasking and communication skills. I have been a swim instructor for 5 summers; I teach water safety which builds trust with children and families, and I have great organization skills. As a front desk receptionist, I always have guest interactions and create a welcoming environment.

I work with POS systems and manage reservations as well as phone calls. I have worked part-time at a restaurant as a server where I thrive in fast-paced environments and truly love getting to meet new people and providing them a good time. These roles reflect my teamwork skills, adaptability, and desire to create positive experiences for others.

I am in the Maricopa Nursing Program getting my RN and concurrently enrolled at Grand Canyon University working on my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. I am building a strong foundation in ethical nursing practice, collaborative care, and patient safety. These courses have helped me with leadership development, empathy and compassion, and a desire for continuous quality improvement in everything I do.
