20 years of solid research background with multiple grants at national, state, and university levels in assessment, measurement, program evaluation, research methodology, educational psychology, and educational administration. Since 2013, I have obtained grants/awards in a total amount of $196,310 at college, university, national and international levels. I have produced more than 60 articles, book, and chapters, 78 reports and workshops, and 118 conference presentations and have obtained multiple awards at the college, university, national, and international levels.
19 years of practical teaching experience: 19 years teaching experience at the university level (undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels) and 4 years at the high school levels in the USA (10 years), Canada (3 years, undergraduate), and China (8 years). During the last ten years at FGCU (2013-), I have taught 80 classes and 19 courses (ten at the doctoral level, six at the master’s level, and 3 at the undergraduate level, six were my initial design) in assessment, measurement, evaluation, and research methods (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, & survey design) via face-to-face, hybrid, and virtual classes. I am working (worked) as chairs or research methodologists on 16 doctoral dissertation committees during last seven years). I have also served as multiple chairs, methodologists, and advisors to undergraduate, and master’s thesis committees.
Broad academic servicealong with seven years’ supervisor/administrator experience in high education: I have worked as an assessment officer on the Academic Degrees Committee at graduate school (three years), the associate director of the graduate education office at School of Humanities and Social Sciences (two years), Assistant director of the Institution of Education (two years), Tsinghua University, and academic manager & professor (one year) at one technology college in Canada. Also, I have many years’ academic service: a. nine years as the member of director board and twice international conferences chairs (CAERDA,2013-); d. Vice President of an international association (S-AERA, 2018-); f. Three committees’ members of AERA (Chair of Early Career Awards of Division D, Co-Chair of Early Career Committee of Division H, Program Chair of SIG- Research in Evaluation, and Newsletter Editor and committee member of SIG-Survey Research. served on the editorial boards of six journals; h. served as academic advisor to an NGO (four years, FFCF); j. served on five college committees (PRC, DAPC, GCC, Assessment,& Social committees) and seven university committees
