I am an experienced educator with a demonstrated history of improving learning outcomes for diverse learners seeking a position as a Secondary English Teacher. I have twenty four years of educational experience including positions as a Middle School English teacher, Middle School Literacy coach and Middle School administrator. I am adept at impacting student learning through research-based reading and writing strategies, data driven instruction, authentic use of technology and incorporation of culturally responsive sustaining educational practices.

I hold a Masters Degree in Teaching English Grade 7-12 from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Washington College.

• Used data driven instruction including I-Ready assessment program to 4% increase of grade level and above grade level reading performance in school year 21-22.

• Created system of digital portfolios in ELA classes as a result of writing and receiving Connected Learning Grant to support technology integration in curriculum.
• Developed weekly school-wide Advisory program that built positive relationships between staff and students.
