Hello, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scott Moore, and I am 37 years old. For the last decade, I have been making a living as an artist blacksmith, occasionally welding, fabricating decorative steel elements, and installing them.
Before that, I served in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrical Technician (AT) for two years in the naval squadron VP-69. First, however, I served three years as an Aviation Maintenance Administrationman, (AZ,) in the VQ-2 squadron, working on the logs and records of the E P-3 Orion aircraft. throughout all this time, I wrote constantly, whether professionally or privately, about a great many subjects.
One of the things I have a great passion for is Historical European Martial Arts, or HEMA. I mention this because HEMA is marked among modern martial arts, because it has no “unbroken lineage,” per se, as many Asian martial arts do. This means that study of the medieval and renaissance fighting manuals is paramount to the study of fighting in the “old ways.” That is to say, much research and skill must be had in researching to be a student of any of the documented techniques.
This skill has given me the ability to say with confidence that, “If I don’t know something, I will find out.” Thank you for your consideration, I hope that this will be the first correspondence of a successful business relationship
