Jeff was recognized as an early adopter in 2008 when the Washington Business Journal profiled his innovative use of a then-new platform — Twitter — for public relations.
He developed social media programs for clients including the Maryland Transportation Authority/Maryland E-ZPass, Hair Cuttery, Smart Balance, MinuteClinic, News Corp. and Boeing.
For Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport he led the creation of a social media policy and standards for use of social media. For a national association of independent colleges, JD/PR won a PRSA Silver Anvil award for a social media campaign defending the liberal arts.
He headed the social media command center for Baltimore's largest outdoor tourism event, the Star-Spangled Spectacular.

Relations, LLC, a PR and social media consultancy. A three-time PRSA Maryland president, he serves as regional editor for the Capitol Communicator and is co-founder of Podville Media in Washington D.C. where he co-hosts the "Practically Social" podcast. Jeff is the regional representative of PRConsultants Group (PRCG), an exclusive, nationwide network of senior communications and marketing professionals representing diverse disciplines in every major U.S. market and beyond.
He also heads the "Meet the Media" series for the National Press Club's Communicators group. He began his career as a reporter at daily newspapers in Ohio, New Jersey and at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis.
Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University.
