I am an activist-scholar, researcher, and educator with more than 15 years of experience in higher education and consulting. My areas of expertise include qualitative and quantitative research, program management, facilitation, and anti-racist praxis. My approach to research prioritizes strategic information needs and pairs them with the best methodologies to gather impactful data.
Having trained in ethnographic methods, UX methods, and focus group and survey design allows me to diversify data-gathering and answer complex questions. As a program manager, I excel at project planning, managing day-to-day project operations, communicating with stakeholders, gathering and analyzing data, and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships. I specialize in facilitation that considers power-dynamics among participants, and my strengths include intentional planning, active listening, neutrality, self awareness, flexibility, and clear communication.
I am passionate about deconstructing systems of oppression, interrupting racist/sexist/homophobic practices, and creating human connections that lead to solidarity. I plan intentionally to create safer spaces for BIPOC in my work and my community, by minimizing systemic and personal harm.
