As Colin Powell, a fellow Army officer once said, "perpetual optimism is a force multiplier." This principle has been central to my personal and professional growth. I am a dynamic, proactive, and inquisitive individual with a background in active duty Army logistics. Now, I am excited about the transition to a civilian career in public and foreign policy.
My extensive background in management and leadership has prepared me for my next adventure. I am confident that my skills will be aligned with a career in government, legislative affairs, public policy, or project management. My two Bachelor's degrees in political science and public relations from Iowa State University, and a Master's in Public Administration with an emphasis on leadership and crisis communication from Norwich University, have given me a solid foundation in the field.
I am passionate about team building and team development. My experience with diverse teams has given me insight into how to create an environment of excellence in any organization. I am confident that my skills will come in handy in any private or public organization with a similar dedication to teamwork.
Outside of my work in the military and academia, I am an avid reader, a dedicated dog-mom, and a so-so triathlete. I am energized by the possibilities and new connections that come with a new career, and I am excited to make a valuable contribution with my talents.
