After earning my college degree in organizational communication and working in mostly administrative positions for a decade, I became an early childhood educator. I was working in my communities local daycare and preschool centers for several years. I eventually built my own home childcare business from scratch and ran it successfully for over five years and through the pandemic.
I only took a short break over this last year to devote myself more towards being a full time mother. However, I am ready to dive back into work once again. I'm looking specifically for a job that could combine my excellent administrative, communicative and organizational talents with my passion for working with students and families in an educational environment.
Since 2016 I have been running a home daycare called Park Avenue Tots in Brookfield, IL. I spent most of this last year focusing on being a stay at home mother. Before that I spent several years working at both Kensington School and Little Peoples Country as an Assistant Teacher.
I worked with infant to toddler aged children. However, before becoming an early childhood educator, I spent my 20s working in various administrative positions. I worked with mass data entry at AEP, and as a secretary for various marketing and advertising agencies.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Ball State University in Indiana in 2006. I also minored in Sociology. I took courses at Elmhurst College from 2014-2016 which earned me certifications and credits towards early childhood education and speech language pathology. I attended and graduated with honors from Fenwick High School in Oak Park in 2002.
