Jody Robertson

With over a decade of experience as a Technical Illustrator and Tech Communications Specialist in the Oil and Gas industry, I’ve spent my career turning complex engineering concepts into clear, detailed visuals for customer-facing documentation. Along the way, I’ve developed a solid understanding of engineering processes, collaborated with subject matter experts, and mastered a variety of software tools to bring their ideas to life.

I’m always open to new opportunities and love expanding my skill set. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me 3D printing, painting, or just enjoying my kids.

With over a decade of experience in technical illustration, animation, and 3D modeling, I have worked across industries ranging from oil and gas, training, e-learning and creating videos for litigation. My expertise lies in transforming complex technical data into clear, visually engaging content, whether through detailed procedural illustrations, 3D animations, or training materials. At Schlumberger, I standardized illustration processes, developed training videos, and collaborated with SMEs to enhance technical documentation.

Previously, I created 3D assets and animations for virtual training environments, courtroom reconstructions, and safety simulations. I enjoy visual storytelling and finding better ways to streamline processes. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and have had the opportunity to mentor students in 3D modeling and animation.

I received a BA in Media Arts & Animation from the Art Institute of Houston and have been learning ever since.
