Hi, I’m John Winters, and I bring over seven years of diverse IT experience to the table, having worked across industries like manufacturing, managed service providers, and government. My career has been driven by a customer-first mindset—I truly believe they’re the cornerstone of any business, and I’ve always prioritized delivering solutions that meet their needs.

I’m passionate about growth and development, both professionally and personally. I see change as an opportunity to evolve, and I strive to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Over the years, I’ve advanced my skills through platforms like TryHackMe, online courses, books, videos, and by building a strong network on LinkedIn.

My IT expertise is broad and hands-on. I’ve worked with Cisco switches and routers, Aruba Access Points, hardware and software troubleshooting, server management, and monitoring government websites. A big part of my focus has been security—isolating devices during virus incidents, containing threats, eradicating them, and leading recovery efforts.

I’m familiar with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martin’s Cyber Kill Chain, and NIST-SP 800-61, as well as tools like Elastic Stack, Splunk, and CrowdStrike for SIEM and EDR.

Right now, I’m excited for a fresh start and an opportunity to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I’m eager to bring my technical skills, security experience, and customer-focused approach to a new team.
