Joshua Summers

As a recent high school graduate, I am very eager to take on new experiences in my life and join the workforce. I am seeking a first job that will not only show me but instill in me the knowledge and work ethic to becoming successful in the future. I will be attending college out of town so I will be moving away in early August.

However, I am willing to work long shifts essentially every day in order to learn and master the job at hand. I am very adaptable and will try my best to ensure that I am doing whatever I can to help. Although I do not have any official previous job experience, I have volunteered at numerous places including my school's link crew program, which helps newly acclimated students adjust to their new environment.

Additionally, I have considerable leadership skills and experience, as I have helped coached some sports teams that my cousins have played on, including football and basketball. To add onto that, I have also been working in my yard for the past 5 years, whether it be mowing, edging, or cleaning the pool. No matter what the weather or circumstances were, I would get out there every week and spend a couple hours to make it look enjoyable.

On a different note, I am a quick learner and hardworking, as I believe there is never a moment in which something can't be fixed or made better. I am very excited to learn new skills and will fulfill my commitments to the best of my abilities.

I do not have any previous job experience, but I have volunteered as a coach for a basketball team and have helped new high school students get acclimated to their school.

I recently graduated from Damien High School and will be attending San Diego State University in the Fall.
