My name is Joyce Evelyn Cray. My resume highlights my ability to assist in a variety of educational settings, interpreting positions (educational and technical), office management, micro-manage, and advocate/facilitate communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community while implementing excellent customer service. Working as a team member throughout my employment, I've learned how to facet the needs of small and large diverse groups within an array of environments. I am interested in working with “United States Navy”, because of my love for supporting our country, deaf rights, education, and equal access. I have had great opportunities through my education and believe it is a major key in life that opens doors of enlightenment. I am a firm believer in systems of secondary and higher education. The United States Navy has thrived in supporting our country, providing equal access, and safety to all individuals. I have worked hard to acquire knowledge and take pride in my personal commitment as a lifelong learner. My goal is to work for “The United States Navy” by serving with a commitment of integrity, professionalism, honor, and education as I serve both parties hearing and deaf individuals. I want to ensure our clients by informing them that their needs are important and working beyond the call of duty while providing empathy and assistance to fertilize their pursuits and achievements. The United States Navy is a growing innovative, strong, institution with pillars of associations replete with advantages. The philosophy "Each one, Teach one" is not just a way to live; 'It is the way to live' and this is the reason why I desire to further The United States Navy's success. I would not be where I am today if someone had not provided services to me.

I have worked as a deaf educator for over 14 years. Before this, I completed a Deaf Support Specialist degree and an Interpreting degree.
My highest level of education will be my Master of Science degree in May of 2024. This degree is an educational degree with a concentration in deaf and Hard-of-hearing education.
