At 29, I discovered I was going to be a father. Up to that point, I had spent nearly a decade in food service industry working as a bartender/bar manager. When I learned that I had a daughter on the way I enrolled the next semester at OU, where I would go on to obtain a degree in Visual Communication. The year after I graduated, I went to work for Teleflora, where I worked my way up from Junior Web Designer, to Senior UI/UX Designer, to UI/UX Frontend Manager.
I love building new relationships with clients, and the continuous opportunity for learning that design provides. Every project is a chance to learn or try something new.
Seasoned UI/UX Design Leader with over 9 years of progressive experience transforming digital products through intuitive, accessible, and user-centric design. Most recently served as UI/UX Manager at Teleflora, where I led cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact platform enhancements that increased engagement by 27% and mobile conversions by 7%. Adept at balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution across front-end development, UX research, and product design.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Figma, and accessibility standards (WCAG). Passionate about elevating digital experiences through data-informed design, collaboration, and continuous innovation.
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communication. I also attended an in-depth management program with the Wonderful Company (parent company of Teleflora). We attended 3 hours classes, twice a week, for 6 weeks; learning skills like recognizing bias, motivating your team, handling delegation, and many other vital management skills.
