About

Bachelor of Social Work graduate with experience interviewing professionals, reviewing research, and interpreting data, plus two years teaching English in Japan. During a social work internship, I interviewed staff at schools, private practices, and government agencies about service gaps, wrote the interview questions, and helped put together the team's summary report. As an undergraduate researcher, I reviewed and interpreted statistical results and presented findings at a research conference.

Looking to bring that research and analytical experience, along with strong organization and attention to detail, to an entry-level role in insurance or banking.

  • Manage my own class schedule, student evaluations, and day-to-day communications with minimal supervision.
  • Teach English grammar and conversation to Japanese students, adjusting how I explain things so concepts land clearly across the language barrier.

  • Moved to Japan on my own and adapted to working in a new country and culture.

Social Work Intern at UNC Charlotte (2022-01 – 2023-12)

  • Interviewed social workers at schools, private practices, and government agencies about gaps in the services their clients faced.
  • Read academic research on the topic and wrote the interview questions used across the project.
  • Helped write up the internship's findings into a summary report for the team.

Undergraduate Research Scholar at UNC Charlotte (2021-01 – 2023-12)

  • Completed training on research ethics and data-handling requirements.
